According to IT Home, Tencent's WeChat on HarmonyOS edition has started a trial upgrade to version 8.0.22.34 (8394274) via Huawei AppGallery, with testing running from 2026-09-29 to 2026-10-29. The report lists numerous new settings and features across the app, including privacy options and interface refinements.

According to FashionUnited, Alo has officially landed in China, opening its Zhangyuan pop-up in Shanghai on Monday as its first physical retail investment in Mainland China. The three-floor space connects retail with movement, wellness and community and will open to the public on Thursday, offering women’s and men’s apparel, footwear and accessories along with invitation-only wellness experiences.

Tencent introduced TenPayGo, a payment app for international visitors to China, allowing payments at merchants via linked cards or wallets. It partners with UnionPay, Visa, and other international card schemes, and integrates with WeChat Pay infrastructure for overseas users. The move aims to simplify spending for inbound tourists using familiar payment methods.
