It was founded in 1978 to provide degrees in programs not then offered in the Southeast United States and to create a specialized professional art college to attract students from throughout the United States and abroad.

SCAD Savannah Film Festival will honor Julianne Moore with the Icon Award and center the screening of The Debut as its centerpiece selection.

According to Variety, the Savannah College of Art and Design will present Julianne Moore with the Icon Award at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, and will center the screening of The Dead Donkey, Jesse Eisenberg’s musical comedy from A24, as the Centerpiece selection. The news comes after the announcement that SCAD will open with Bleecker Street’s “A Talent for …”
