Blizzard launches World of Warcraft Forever Beta test with record traffic
According to IT之家, Blizzard launched the World of Warcraft Forever beta on September 17, which immediately drew a large number of players and caused queues, disconnects, and service interruptions. Blizzard officials noted the beta data scale was the highest in Josh Greenfield’s 17 years at Blizzard, and a later technical analysis pointed to a single Realm deployment as the cause. Blizzard had previously announced at the Blizzard Carnival on September 13 that World of Warcraft: Forever would release on November 4, 2026.
