Thai Airways International plc is the flag carrier of Thailand. Formed in 1961 as a joint venture between SAS and Thai Airways Company, the airline has its corporate headquarters in Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Chatuchak district, Bangkok, and primarily operates from Suvarnabhumi Airport. THAI is a founding member of the Star Alliance.

According to TTG Asia, Thai Airways International (THAI) will standardise its fleet to four aircraft types and overhaul its wide-body cabins, with the first retrofitted aircraft entering service in mid-2027. The plan follows a Q2 net profit of 1.54 billion baht and aims to deploy a uniform cabin across the wide-body fleet, including upgrades to front-row premium business-class and new recliner-style features.
