NRTA deputy head He Biao said last year the NRTA coordinated with multiple parties to deploy over 10 million plug-in micro set-top boxes, and this year will deploy tens of millions to embed TV functionality, aiming for a simplified, all-in-one TV with a universal remote; by the end of March this year, nationwide false medical advertising on TV channels had been completely cleared. In the first eight months of this year, 430,000 micro-short dramas were launched, with AI-made content accounting for more than 90% of them.
