SNE Research data shows Chinese suppliers dominate global battery materials market
- China holds 95.7% of global negative electrode materials, 91.5% of separators, and 89.2% of electrolytes in Q2 2026 (SNE Research).
- Korean shares are 1.9% (negative electrode), 2.7% (separator), and 6.4% (electrolyte).
- First seven months outside China: anode demand up ~30%, electrolyte up ~40%, separator up over 40%.
- Overseas material demand is not favoring Japanese/Korean firms but Chinese suppliers; LG Energy Solution, SK On, and Samsung SDI together held 27.2% in that period.
