According to IT Home, CAS Space plans the first offshore launch of the Lijian-1 carrier rocket in waters near Guangdong, aiming to conduct an 'One Rocket, Three Satellites' mission and broaden launch boundaries with land-sea dual operations. The report notes that Lijian-17 completed integration testing and is planned for a near-term sea-based launch; offshore launches offer higher landing-zone safety and a looser launch window. The rocket is described as 30 meters long, with a 2.65-meter core diameter, a takeoff weight of 135 tons, and a takeoff thrust of 200 tons, capable of carrying 1.5 tons to 500-kilometer Sun-synchronous orbit and 2 tons to low Earth orbit.
