Alipay is a third-party mobile and online payment platform, established in Hangzhou, China, in February 2004 by Alibaba Group and its founder Jack Ma. In 2015, Alipay moved its headquarters to Pudong, Shanghai, although its parent company Ant Financial remains Hangzhou-based.

According to IT Home, Alipay announced the launch of the Yulai AI assistant system for task and state management, expanding AI capabilities from task to state management with asynchronous task support. The system includes daily reminders and can be summoned in the Abao assistant by saying "Yulai"; an example shows swiping up in Alipay and instructing Abao to remind the user at 2 PM every day.
