Oracle has issued a force majeure notice to STACK Infrastructure, a unit of Blue Owl Capital, regarding the Project Jupiter data center in New Mexico. The company cited potential power supply delays as the reason for the notice, which allows for the deferral of certain contractual obligations. The move has prompted investor concerns regarding the project's timeline and the broader AI infrastructure financing environment.

According to Mint Technology, Oracle issued a force majeure notice delaying the Jupiter data center project in New Mexico, a Blue Owl STACK Infrastructure venture to support OpenAI, by about one year. The move has fed caution into AI infrastructure financing, with related discussions including SB Energy delaying its IPO for a campus serving OpenAI in Ohio. Blue Owl has about $3 billion of equity invested in the project, and returns for that investment are expected to rise after completion.

According to 36Kr, NVIDIA announced via an SEC filing that it will add $1.5 billion to its equity investment in SB Energy, bringing the total commitment to $3 billion ahead of SB Energy’s U.S. IPO. SB Energy, a data center developer backed by SoftBank, is advancing data center and power infrastructure, including a large Ohio data center project that will serve OpenAI.
