Kawasaki, officially Kawasaki City, is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, one of the main cities of the Greater Tokyo Area and Keihin Industrial Area. It is the second most populated city in Kanagawa Prefecture after Yokohama, and the eighth most populated city in Japan.

According to Nikkei Asia, EdgeCortix, a Japanese government-backed semiconductor startup, unveiled its latest chip designed for physical AI at the AI Infra Summit in Santa Clara, California, from Sept. 15-17, and announced a multimillion-dollar deal with Kawasaki. The company aims to deploy the chip on factory floors and in space.
