According to 36Kr, Doubao is developing a personal assistant product codenamed Spell, with internal testing of an exploration into a personal assistant direction begun in April this year. The Spell project is led mainly by the Doubao mobile assistant team, but has not been publicly released due to the Doubao phone launch and related reasons.
According to Huxiu, Caocao Mobility launched an AI ride-hailing service in Beijing, Hangzhou, and Suzhou in collaboration with Doubao, becoming the only mobility partner integrated into the platform. The announcement triggered a positive market reaction, with Caocao's share price rising by more than 10% in early trading on the HKEX.
