According to IT Home, the Horizon Aito M8 from Huawei’s Horizon Intelligence and Seres has opened pre-sales with a starting price of 389,800 yuan. The SUV features an 800V architecture, a pure electric range of 830 km, a range-extended option of 1,435 km, ADS 5 with an L3 architecture, and is designed with collaboration between Seres and Huawei.
Seres and Huawei have adjusted their partnership model for the Aito brand, shifting Huawei to a technology solutions and enablement role while Seres takes charge of product definition, design, marketing, and service. The adjustment comes as Seres works to manage financial pressures and pursue sustainable brand development. Executives from both companies, including Seres chairman Zhang Xinghai and Huawei executive Yu Chengdong, confirmed that the partnership remains strong and is transitioning to an exclusive operating model.
According to IT Home, HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility announced a national day OTA upgrade that runs from September 25 to mid-October, expanding to four brands: Zhijie, Xiangjie, Zunjie, and Shangjie. The update covers multiple model lines and adds features such as charging-station time-of-use pricing display and new navigation waypoint options.
