KT participates in NATO Wireless Communications Standardization Project meeting as 5G and 6G expert

According to The Korea Times Business, KT is joining the ninth meeting of the NATO Wireless Communications Standardization Project (NWCSP) as the first Korean telecom company to participate as a 5G and 6G standardization expert. The meeting, hosted by the Ministry of National Defense and the Telecommunications Technology Association, starts a four-day run with about 100 officials from defense, government, telecom and standards experts from Korea and abroad. KT will share its experience deploying commercial 5G for defense applications and discuss guidelines for adopting 5G and 6G in military communications, with KT’s Kim Won-tae noting the need for civil-military cooperation and international standardization discussions.
