According to IT Home, at the 20th Asian Games esports event for Identity V, China defeated Japan 2-0 in the final to win gold. The Chinese team’s Mu Xinyue became the first female esports athlete to win a gold medal at the event, and the team, including Shi Xiangwei, Lu Shujia, Sun Le, Chen Mingming, Lu Yahui, Fan Siqi, and Mu Xinyue, topped the podium with coaches Zhu Tianlong, Hu Zijian, and Xia Yang. This event marked the first time the asymmetrical battle mode entered the Asian Games main event, and it was China’s debut at the Games in this discipline, contributing the delegation’s 151st gold in esports.
