Geely rolls out its C12 ultra-fast charging stations in five Chinese cities

According to IT Home, Geely Zhi-chong C12 charging stations are rolling out today in five Chinese cities: Hangzhou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Jiaxing, and Xi’an. The facilities feature a single-gun peak power of 2.2 MW, with 10%–97% charging taking an average of 8 minutes 40 seconds, and Geely’s AI charging tech claims to keep battery temperature under 65°C and extend cycle life by over 20%. The rollout follows the Ningbo Lingyang release of Geely Zhi-chong, backed by the StarMind PowerMind global energy model, and the fifth-generation Zhi-chong station reaches 2,250 kW per gun, with 1500V/1500A limits; Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 are among the first mass-market models to adopt 900V batteries and up to 12C charging, with other details including a 370 mm version of the Shendun Brick battery and a Galaxy E5 starting price of 97,800 yuan.”
