Anthropic is considering releasing a new artificial intelligence model ahead of its initial public offering to address competitive pressure following OpenAI's release of GPT-6 Astra. Reports indicate that GPT-6 Astra accounts for about 13% of corporate AI spending on the Ramp platform compared to 8% for Claude Fable, leading some investors to reassess Anthropic's market position. Meanwhile, CEO Dario Amodei had previously called for the industry to slow down capability releases to manage safety risks.
