GM to keep CarPlay/Android Auto on gas models as EVs move to own system; ties with PG&E Smart Charge Bundle
GM will continue to support CarPlay and Android Auto on certain gasoline models (2027 Silverado and Sierra) while planning to remove them from most future EVs, with a potential exception for the Cadillac LYRIQ. Concurrently, GM announced a partnership with PG&E to offer a Smart Charge Bundle to streamline EV charging at home.
