South Korea posts record September exports led by semiconductors
South Korea’s September exports rose 83.5% year-on-year to a record 120.9 billion USD, driven by strong semiconductor shipments. Semiconductor exports reached a record 60.3 billion USD in September, up 263% from a year earlier. Korea’s exports for the first nine months of 2026 totaled 814.5 billion USD with a trade surplus near 50 billion USD.
