According to The Korea Times Business, Hyundai Motor Group opened the Robotics Metaplant Application Center (RMAC) in Georgia to train Atlas humanoid robots for automotive production, with plans to deploy about 25,000 Atlas robots across Hyundai Motor and Kia production lines globally. RMAC began pilot operations in June and is moving into full-scale operation, and Hyundai plans to build a separate facility next year that will expand the center to roughly 10 times its current size. The group also envisions a new U.S. production facility capable of manufacturing up to 30,000 robots annually to deepen its robotics ecosystem, with Atlas initially trained to perform tasks such as preparing materials for logistics and sorting parts by assembly sequence.
