European Central Bank launches Pontes service for blockchain-based financial transactions
The European Central Bank has introduced the Pontes service to connect its payment system with blockchain-based financial markets. This initiative allows banks to settle digital assets using central bank euros. The bank also announced plans to invest a portion of its own funds into tokenised securities.
