Audi has taken legal action against German importer Auto China to prevent the China-only E5 Sportback and E7X from entering Germany. The two models, developed for the Chinese market and marketed under a new AUDI brand, were being imported after certification, but Audi says they cannot be supported outside official channels and will not be sold through Audi’s European network. The dispute centers on whether the parallel-imported vehicles can be serviced or warranted in Germany.
